A Sticky Glaze

Ingredients

  • 400g tin chopped Italian plum tomatoes
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 4 garlic cloves, chopped
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 8 tbsp runny honey
  • salt, pepper, Tabasco

Cooking instructions

Cook the tomatoes, onion and garlic in a small pan over medium low heat, stirring occasionally, until the onions are soft and the sauce thick, about 25 minutes. Whizz in a food processor or with a hand held blender until smooth. Stir in the soy sauce and honey and season to taste. Cool completely before using. Refrigerate for up to 1 week.
