Our organic free range turkeys

This year we are working in partnership with a local organic farm in Vernham Deane. Jane and Mark at Box Farm are rearing our organic free-range Norfolk Bronze turkeys on their land.

The birds are reared slowly over 6 months, maturing to their own natural weight. They have access to a large, airy barn where they can be shut in at night to protect them from predators. Turkeys are very curious creatures and so we provide them with lots of 'toys' to satisfy their inquisitive nature. Old CDs suspended on string seems to be a great favourite! 

The turkeys are killed and hung in the traditional way ensuring deeply flavoured meat that is succulent and tender.
